Spring has sprung in Brum

When we got on the plane to Cape Town on Easter Monday, the UK was cold and grey, and the trees were still bare. Fast forward 3 weeks and spring has truly sprung!

Our garden is truly beautiful this time of year. We have a huge tree that has white blossom, perfectly contrasted with the pink blossom on our neighbour’s tree. The magnolia tree is in full bloom, the lilac is just about to burst into colour, my muscari bulbs have flowered and the camellia bush has gorgeous pink flowers. On top of all of this, because our garden is a bit of a tip at the moment, we have lots of pretty wild flowers.

Here’s just a small sample that I brought indoors yesterday to brighten up the kitchen. I love the soft colours against my blue Kitchenaid mixer!
